Challenge #9 - Song Lyrics Quartet
[MELODY is on the train, wearing a backpack and over the ear headphones with a CD player in her coat pocket. She bounces to the music subtly until the CD in the player completes. She adjusts so she is secured to the the train pole while having her hands free to take out a CD case and flip through until she finds what she wants, takes out the player, and exchanges the CD in the player for the one in the case, returns the case and player to their respective pockets and presses play on the player. Her hand returns to the pole, she begins to subtly bounce again. The train pulls into the station. MELODY turns to the opening door, exits. The song she was slowly bouncing to begins to play as she leaves the platform, growing louder and then suddenly stops as the train doors close.
Quick shift to NORA behind a podium at what is a press conference. Occasional camera flashes as she speaks]
NORA
My daughter Melody has been missing for 24 hours and I am asking for any information that anyone might have on her whereabouts or disappearance. I dropped her off at the Paulina brown line stop yesterday but was informed by the school that she never arrived. Chicago Transit Authorities confirmed that her transit pass was swiped at the station. If anyone saw her on the train, the train platform, or anywhere after 8AM yesterday morning, please call the tip line and Melly, if you are listening, your father and I love and miss you and we just want you to come home. Please, come home.
